"City Scale"

Ali Taptık is participating in the group exhibit titled "City Scale" in Lothringer13-Staedtische Kunsthalle München (State Art Hall, Munich, Germany). The exhibition, which is a collaboration of the Turkish curators Beral Madra and Deniz Erbas with the German curator Dr. Cornelia Oßwald-Hoffmann and the Italian-German artist Carlotta Brunetti, deals with the interaction of urban space and the citizen, under the premise that personality is developed only through this interaction. The artists verbalize their own city experiences in their works. Taptık, who approaches buildings, structures and things similar to the way he interacts with people, displays a selection of works from his latest photography series "Nothing Surprising". The other artists participating in the show are: Gülçin Aksoy, Atılkunst, Yeni Anit, Volkan Aslan, Anne Bleisteiner, Klaus vom Bruch, Carlotta Brunetti & Julia Lohmann, Department of Public Appearances, Patricija Gilyte, Deniz Gül, Gözde ilkin, Suat Öğüt, Kristine Osswald, Hülya Özdemir, Susanne Pittroff , Michaela Rotsch, Martina Salzberger, Robert Stumpf, Yasemin Nur Toksoy, Stefanie Unruh and Videoist. The exhibit can be seen between July 23 - September 19, 2010.
