Founded in 2004, x-ist is one of Turkey’s pioneering contemporary art galleries, established with the aim of supporting young contemporary Turkish artists who create based on original ideas and mentoring them throughout their careers.

Actively participating in major art fairs both nationally and internationally and collaborating with various global institutions, the gallery continues to work in a versatile manner to strengthen and expand the careers of the artists it represents.

After operating for 14 years in its Nişantaşı location, x-ist moved to Tophane in 2018 and then to Gümüşsuyu in 2024. Sharing a common vision with like-minded galleries it had previously collaborated with, x-ist continues to be a strong and influential presence in the contemporary art world.
